GREAT!!

I have one question from this lesson; when you write, “…ni neng hui qu du jia ma…” I have a problem with “hui qu”. To “go back”?? for a “du jia”. This seems wierd.

How about, “…ni hai ke yi you du jia ma?”

Just a question for the Master,

Great! The sentence you made makes sense too.

Maybe “hui qu du jia” should be put into a context. If you say this phrase to people who work in another place or another country, and he can “hui qu” his family or hometown for a vacation, right?

Heh, heh. I noticed that too. I was also somewhat confused by this particular structure. So I gather that “hui qu” in this case is making an implied reference to “going back” to your home (as in a different state, province, country, etc.) to enjoy your vacation. So in Chinese, unlike English, you don’t have to explicitly say that you are “going back” to your hometown or the like. Is that right?
