Hello everyone, welcome to Micro-Class. This is Benny, the most popular mandarin teacher in the world. And have you ever try to invite a Chinese girl? But you don’t know if she has any free time, or either you don’t know how to ask her in Chinese. Don’t worry! That’s the purpose of today’s Micro-Class because I will teach you how to say “do you have any free time tonight ”

In Chinese we say:
“Jīntiān wǎnshang nǐ yǒukòng ma?”
“Jīntiān wǎnshang nǐ yǒukòng ma?”

Jīntiān” means “today”.

Wǎnshang” means “evening and night”.

Well,
“jīntiān wǎnshang” in Chinese means “tonight”.
“Jīntiān wǎnshang” means “tonight”.

And “yǒu” is very important, because it means “to have”. Well, the negative form of “yǒu” is “méi yǒu”.

Méi yǒu

Kòng” means “free time”.

And “ma” is question.
Ma is question.

Therefore the whole sentence is:
“Jīntiān wǎnshang nǐ yǒukòng ma?”
“Jīntiān wǎnshang nǐ yǒukòng ma?”

Ok, are you ready to invite Chinese girl out? Come with me, let’s see if it works.

SCENE 1:

Benny: Hi, Bobo. Jīntiān wǎnshang nǐ yǒukòng ma?

Bobo: Oh, jīntiān wǎnshang wǒ yǒukòng.

SCENE 2:

Benny: Hi, Bobo. Jīntiān wǎnshang nǐ yǒukòng ma?

Bobo: Oh, jīntiān wǎnshang wǒ yǒukòng.

It's easy as ABC!
