Hi Benny,In English the difference between american and british is the spelling in a few words and the pronunciation but everyone understands it. Is it the same with Mandarin, Cantonese and Pekinese?

Hello belizemanmex, actually there’s alot of similarities between cantonese and mandarin..not sure about pekinese though. So if you know mandarin , you should have no problem learning cantonese and vice versa. However, its best to learn mandarin first since it is used worldwide :)

Cantonese has very different pronunciation, but as Lawrence say if you can speak fluent Mandarin, it’s not difficult to learn Cantonese
