hey,
is this proper grammar? didnt he say “i think you very beautiful” dont you need to say "wo jue de ni “xie” fei chang piao liang"?
i dunt really know, would someone clarify?

also at the end the girl asks if she can open the present. and he responds by saying “dui” which i belive means “correct” but wouldnt it make more sense to say that she can? _

sorry im not very fluent in chinese and im sure hes right but if someone could explain:)

Hi Bubb,

You may say “wo3 jue2 de ni3 fei1 chang2 piao4 liang4” or “wo jue de ni hen piao liang” which in English is I think you are very beautiful.
very=“fei chang” or “hen”.

The second question. We usually reply as “ke3 yi3”.
EG:

question: May I open the present= “wo3 ke3 yi3 da3 kai1 li3 wu4 ma?”

reply: yes=“ke3 yi3”.
