This is awesome. I speak English natively, know a bit of Spanish from school, but I’m interested in learning Chinese. The only thing is though there are so many symbols in Chinese that if you don’t know the symbol, aren’t you technically illiterate?

But not everybody has to learn Characters, most people just want to communicate in Chinese language
