Ni hao , benny I was wondering if the Cantonese and mandarin Are in any way related like people that speak mandarin can understand Cantonese speakers Are the words understandable or is there a huge difference thank you xie xie :)

Hi Sfplayer,

Cantonese and Mandarin are different, I don’t understand Cantonese. It takes time to learn this dialect, also Cantonese is written in Traditional Characters, while Mandarin is written in simplified version
