Hi Benny, please tell me what does 却因定 means in the sentence below. Is 却因定 one word? If not, then how are they separated and linked with the sentence?
8月26日，人保哈尔滨分公司一行7人来到正大鞋城，然而双方却因定损数额发生争执。保险公司认为，经过8月26日现场查损确认，8月21日出险后的受损鞋数量是408双，最后确定的理赔金额是3．9万元，加上第一次出险的8．4万元，保险公司共应赔付正大鞋城12．3万元。

Let me answer your questions now. 却 is a disjunctive aderb. 因 means because. 定 here means to fix. The sentence means both parties are arguing with each other because of fixing demeages. | |
