For the word zhi1 dao4, can i just use zhi1 only to mean ‘to know’ or i have to use the complete zhi1 dao4?

Is pai1 zhao4 pian4 and zhao4 xiang4 have the same meaning? If so, which is more common in daily conversation?

Hi Nicholas,
In Chinese, you shall say zhi dao when you want to say to know.

For the second question, pai zhao pian and zhao xiang have the same meaning. But in daily communication, we often day “pai zhao”.

e.g. wo3 men yi1 qi3 pai1 zhao4= we take pictures together.
