hey hi benny , how are you? thanks for your classes they are very interesting. I am learning chinese.
i have a question. do people in shanghai speak mandarin chinese? because i have heard they speak wu mandarin, i would like to know if it is the same mandarin it is spoken in taiwan.

In Shanghai people speak Shanghainese (our own dialect) though we can also speak and understand Mandarin…. In Taiwan, they to have a dialect (Taiwanese) but speak Mandarin as well! Our accent here in Shanghai and that in Taiwan is slightly different!
