I realised tht some people like to put ‘diao’ at the back of some words, like ‘si diao’, ‘guan diao’. What dies the diao here mean?

Hi Nicholas, the original meaning for “diao” is “to lose, to drop”

Here “diao” indicate the completion of a certain action
