Nin Hao Benny, I have another question, when I use zhe (this) do I always have to say zhe ge or it’s fine to say just zhe? For instance, Zhe shi wo de ganbi or Zhe ge shi wo de ganbi, which one is correct?

Both of these are correct, however they have slightly different inflection. “Zhe shi wo de ganbi” means “This is my pen”, whereas “Zhe ge shi wo de ganbi” means “This one is my pen” (as opposed to that one), or “This one is MY pen” (as opposed to someone else’s).

Thanks for your kindly help! Debbie. All is right!

By the way, “pen” should be “gangbi”.
