hi hao Benny! aboit how to write the name in Chinese: I prefer transalte them in their meaning! Example: if I want to write Mary that meanongs Lady, I write Tao tai, writing the hanzi from doctionary. If I have to translate my surname that in greek languages from which it cames, meaning very beautiful, I write henmeide. So my complete name is the translation of the two meanings of my name and surname. I do it because in my language every name and often surname have a meaning. If I transalte only the sound of my name in hanzi, I obtein a poor result. And very often it no sounds good.Much more to translate the meaning. What do you think about?ciao! (Benny could be ( little bald bear is the meaning) xiao yanggande xiang….

Hi Claudia, my suggestion is, you need to have a Chinese name. If you translate your name literally into Chinese, it will make no sense.

In Chinese, the family name in most cases will not have any meaning. Just the first name make sense. And a person’s name only has maximum 3 characters.

You should tell me the meaning of your English name, then I can figure out a name in Chinese for you
