How do i say the following:
1) Please stick this paper on this book
2) I assume it is working
3) I am not familiar with this road
can I say “wo3 men hai2 qian4 yi1 ge4 ren2?” for “We need 1 more person”?
Finally, whats the diff. between gai3 jin4 and gai3 shan4?

2. I assume it is working = wǒ gū jì tā zài gōng zuò 3)
3. I am not familiar with this road = zhè tiáo lù wǒ bù shú xì
As for “We need 1 more person” you should say "wǒ men hái quē (xū yào) yī gè rén
gǎi jìn = make it better
gǎi shàn = from not good to good?
