May I know when to use “yao” and when you can use “xiang”.
I heard those 2 a lot and very confusing.

I think yao 要 is to want in English,
xiang 想 means to think. In English you can say ‘I want to go to China’ [我要去中国], wo yao qu zhong guo, or ‘I think I go to China next year’, [我上年想去中国] Wo xiang qu zhong guo shang nian ].
So you can use both yao (want) like in English is stronger then xiang (think)
which means I ’d like to …..
But of course the best way to be sure is to ask Benny 世界上最热门的汉语老师 (hope I got that right) …
万事如意
