Benny, sometimes I see 俺 being used instad of 我.
What is the difference between the two. Are they used in different situations?
Thanks!

 | | | | that character is the Japanese informal, masculine character for I/me, pronounced ‘ore’, maybe some people are borrowing from Japanese… but in Chinese would you say ‘ore’, an3, or just wo3 when reading it? | | |

 | | | | But in Chinese, I’ve also seen this character written by women, refering to themselves. | | |

 | | | | Hi Lee Kong, This is a local dialect which is used more in the north. And 俺 is usually used in the countryside I don’t think people from the city will use this word. Benny
