Hello Audiomonster,
Sorry for this inconvenient, Please click the ‘book’ icon on left of each item, you can see complicated description, example , and related learning. Because some description maybe too long, so we only show parts of it.
Joey
Thanks Joey,
I understand what you are saying, but it still does not solve my main problem.
When I have a list of Chinese words, I would like to instantly see the translation of that word into English, so i can quickly learn the Chinese words.
I do not need to see the description in the array, because it does not help me to learn the word, however it is a good idea to get the detailed description when you click on the book, so you can definitely keep this :)
For example :
http://www.askbennychinese.com/chinesevocab/learning/111
liǎn → “the front of the head, where the eyes, nose and mouth are”
this is too complicated, it should just be:
liǎn → face
yǎnjing → “organ of sight”
it should simply be:
yǎnjing → eyes
bízi → the part of the face that sticks out above the mouth, through which you breathe and smell
it should simply be:
bízi → noze
In 99% of the time, we do not need the detailed description that explains the definition of word in english, we only need the english word : we all know what a nose, an eye, a face are :) Like you know, we only need definition of a word in our own language when we do not know what this word is.
So, in “My Vocab”, instead of the “Description” column I think we should see “English” and show the English word that corresponds to the Chinese word.
