benny/jenny, since ji3 dian3 means ‘what time’..
can i say ‘ji3 shi2’ for ‘when’ instead of shen2 me shi2 hou?

also, is this a correct sentence: wo3 yao4 kan4 ni3 you3 duo1 li4 hai (i want to see how good you are)

Hi Henry, you can not use “ji dian” as “when”, it will confuse people, though some people can guess and understand you

Also your sentence is correct, great!

“ji3 shi2” has the same meaning as"when".But chinese people seldom say “ni3 ji3 shi2 lai2?”.We often say "ni shen me shi hou lai ". Chinese ancestors use “ji3 shi”,such as a poem by Su dongpo saying “ming2 yue4 ji3 shi2 you3” (When there will be a bright moon).
