I have seen many ways to say “and,but” I was wondering what are the common ways. If it is alright to say “Wo xiang yao ping guo he yi bei shui”

The common way of saying "and is “hé”, also “hé” means with.

“but” in Chinese we say"dàn shì, kě shì"
